Yup, Ryu Jin's most remarkable acting is when he played 'Han Do Hoon' role in 'Call of the Country' (Secret Agent Miss Oh) Korean Drama 2010. This is his latest drama that aired on KBS recently. The role was very different or turned 180 degrees from his other previous roles in many dramas before.
It's well-known that the director of 'Call of the Country', Kim Jung Gyu is very popular with his comical yet amusing drama by performing a ridiculous and dumb character. Just check out at his previous dramas like 'I am Sam' and 'The Man Who Can't Get Married'. The contents of those dramas are sprinkled by the humorous stupidity that made the audiences laughing along the dramas.
Back to Han Do Hoon character, his pure and sincere heart was shown by his innocent thoughts that made Lee Soo Kyung's role, Oh Ha Na (who was in her disguise to investigate the smuggled drugs by Han Do Hoon as the suspect) being touched by his stupidity. Lee Soo Kyung and Ryu Jin created such a romantic cute couple in this drama. Both of them have ever played in the same drama before, in 2009, Loving You a Thousand Times. Lee Soo Kyung took a lead character as Go Eun Nim, a role that being a surrogate mother who's carrying a child for Baek Sae Hoon, role played by Ryu Jin. But they didn't end up together because Eun Nim later fell in love with Sae Hoon's brother and Sae Hoon himself already got married and in love with his wife. Their characters however just ended up with the same story in 'Call of The Country'. Though Han Do Hoon fell in love with Oh Ha Na.

In Ryu Jin's previous dramas, he often played a decisive, sharp, dignified and serious character like in 'Summer Scent', 'O! Pil-seung Bong Soon-yeong' and 'Capital Scandal'. Ryu Jin became famous by starring a second lead man in those dramas, his acting attracted many fans' attention.

In his real life, Ryu Jin lives a happy and convenient life with his wife and child. His wife is an airline worker named Lee Hye Sun. From the picture below, it appears that his wife is conceiving their second child. Wishing this family a happy life together and forever. ^^

Ah he was too funny in this series, such a poor thing although he was gallant to the end. I really like him in this one. I desperately wanted Han Do Hoon to end up with Oh Ha Na...but oh well...
