Ways To Start A Conversation

Some pick up lines are unbecoming, boring and rude.

How many times have we heard cheesy pick up lines like:

"Nice shoes. Wanna bang?"

"Your name must be Gillet, because you're the best a man can get."

"I lost my number, can I have yours?"

Face it, using lines like this will cause a girl to run the other way. Pick up lines like these make you look like an idiot.

But because the bad pick up lines get so much attention, people think ALL pick up lines are like this.

However, this is not correct.

Using good pick up lines actually assist you in picking up a woman.

Keep in mind that the purpose of using a pick up line is to begin a conversation.

That is all.

You can work your magic to do what you need to get a date with her, a phone number and an emotional connection, once she begins talking to you.

But if you can't get the conversation started, then you can do anything else!

You want something more that just talking to a woman; you want to engage her in a good conversation. Drawing her into your conversation is the only means of continuing your relationship journey.

Good pick up lines help you do this.

Do you know that when most men meet women they are at a loss for words to begin talking to a woman? They try to think of something off the top of their head, while often missing the opportunity of meeting a nice woman, before they can think of something to say.

This is why you should know a couple of good working pick up lines. Situations like these may hinder you from being original and you need something to help you get the ball rolling.

Keep in mind that women are wise; never use these types of pick up lines, since they get you nowhere at all.

"Do I know you from somewhere?"

All women know this to be a lame pick up line. You might think you're being clever when you say this, but you're not.

Other unimpressive pick up lines include complimenting a woman on her clothing, asking for directions and telling her she looks like a movie star.

Why do you think this is?

This is because these lines do not engage the woman into a conversation with you, once she answers your question, she may not show interest in conversing with you.

Good pick up lines avoid "yes and no" answers. They are about getting the girl to think about her response, evoking an emotional reaction, and making her WANT to continue to communicate with you.

So how do you engage a girl?

Easy, ask her opinion about some issue, since each woman has her own opinion, she likes to share with other, especially when it concerns relationships.

Here is an example. Say to her, Can I get your opinion on something, please. Do you think it is strange for a woman to try to get pregnant at certain times so her child is born under a particular astrological sign? I would really be interested in a womans opinion of this.

Once you engage her in the conversation you may follow up with a tale of some woman who wants to be sure she and her children are astrologically compatible, to make life a bit more enjoyable as life moves along.

This leads to all kinds of different conversation topics, things like:

1. Children 2. Marriage 3. Astrology 4. Pregnancy 5. Relationships

The places you can go with this type of line are limitless. Here are some of my favorite follow-ups.

"Do you think there's something to astrology?" (then lead into more discussion about destiny or fate.)

"What is your sign?" (No matter what she says - be sure to mention your sign is compatible with hers!)

"Are you fond of children? You seem very nurturing."

I could go on and on, but you get the idea.

The design of a good pick up line engages a woman into deep and interesting conversations that provide you with an opportunity to get to know one another as you become familiar with each other.

This is how conversations are started!

Once you reach this point, ask for her telephone number and set up your first date.
